Immediately after the cessation of the Second World War people started to consider that the world’s ground principles are simple and consistent . Both global politics and social relations were relying on the concepts of progress , good innovations , faith in the rational , awareness , advancement , and the ability to explain any phenomenon from a logical point of view . Nevertheless , starting from the second half of the 60’s, the world began to change and now , 40 years after , we dwell in a transformed kind of existence .
We easily notice all advancements which are given us by new technology, but we infrequently come to realize the fact that there are specific concepts standing behind those solutions . The core of the upcoming change was at first noticed by those people, who as a rule of thumb lived anteceding their time – philosophers and authors. Among the multiple authors whose poems have served for entertainment , there have been several of them who have given the planet a new vision . They have more effectively than others other authors created and voiced new thoughts and have finally created formed a brand new intelligent and perceptual analysis of the future. They have spotted issues in the mundane of our lives and have shed light onto a number of problems, which were going on without being noticed . They have helped us to think of the new challenges , and gave us new aspirations .
These were the authors who have formed the thoughts of the entire generation, which has observed the period of drastic change; change, which was perceived as mayhem at the dawn of the 21 first century. They have attracted our attention to the most tormenting issues of the past era ; those questions , which the humankind , having gone through the world wars and unseen sufferings , was unwilling to face . Lastly they were formulating the the most topical question “How will we live in the world of future?”
In this work we will mention several of the most famous authors of the 20th century. They have all significantly affected literature of their period, have reflected tendencies and problems which were essential to their people and the period they lived in, and have made the readers meditate on the real ideology of moral, having them realize that it is far away from being perfect. One of the most interesting angle of their writing is that in often they have risen the readers’ attention in books and written works. in this case one of the most exciting success works is that of a brilliant writer John Cheever.
The success of Joan Rowling can be considered unique as she has become the first writer in the world to make $1 billion by publishing fairytales. She is today spending a great part of her money on charity, confronting poverty and illness. The plot of the book was created while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first agreed to print her book, she has awarded her 1500 pounds together with a loving piece of advice — to look for a permanent job. He was unaware of the fact that the young author would be able to make money of writing. Joann has showed the opposite - having created a series of exceptional fairytales, she has motivated the so-called non-reading generation get back to reading.
This paper is not able to enumerate and more or less exactly list all writers who have given their gift to the nowadays literature. They have been working and presenting ideas directly into the heads of the millions, and thus were shaping the future. Thus, as we can see, these authors were not creating for relaxation only, but they were also playing a considerable role in creating the culture and the sights of a civilization of the 20th century.
